2021 Priorities
Climate Change/Alternative Energy. Support and attain funding for Zero Emission Electric Vehicles Drivers Education and Training after school programs for high schools in disadvantaged communities. This program seeks to implement critical elements in California’s green economy while at the same time building opportunities for career prospects in solar, electric vehicles and greenhouse gas emission reductions while preparing the next generation with good driving skills to increase greater public safety on local streets and roads.
Restorative Justice. Support and attain funding to inform, educate and train youth and young adults in disadvantaged communities of the important statutes of California law so they are better prepared when engaging with schools, law enforcement and when in public safety venues to provide them with the requisite tools, skills and experience to safely participate in a positive outcome.
Youth Leadership and Development. Generation Change Program focuses on seven main criteria: outdoor/environmental education, life skills, nutrition, personal experience, community engagement, mental health, and overall well-being. By concentrating our efforts in developing these skills, Generation Change provides its students with the necessary toolbox to thrive in, what is often, a challenging world.

Health & Wellness
- Nutrition. Teaching the healing properties of eating a clean diet of green leafy vegetables, fruits and other fresh healthy foods that enhance the body at the molecular level to promote a healthy body and mental wellness from the inside out.
- Infant Mortality. Workshops for expectant mothers bringing awareness to alternative childbirth approaches while incorporating cultural and religious beliefs and family values increasing the health of the pregnant mother and her unborn child

Mission
LULA’s ZEV Program will educate students and families within the Greater Sacramento Region on the importance of establishing sustainability in disadvantaged communities. ZEV will reduce the carbon footprint and air pollution creating a cleaner air environment, increase the health, wellness and safety of our local streets and roads in disadvantaged communities by utilizing Interactive Virtual Reality (VR) classroom technologies and developing green economy student career opportunities.
Program Overview
This program seeks to educate high students and their families on the importance and benefits of the State’s mandate for reducing global warming and greenhouse emissions in California. Students will participate in a 9-week curriculum which will introduce state-of-art-technologies and green economy career technical education. Participants of the program will be safe, skilled, knowledgeable drivers engaged in responsible driving practices that will continue as they become expert EV drivers. As part of this curriculum, families and members of the community will be encouraged to participate in class ride-alongs, green economy career opportunities fairs, and learn of the benefits of ZEVs.
This 9-week quarterly program (offered each quarter) seeks to serve an estimated 200 students across four high schools located in disadvantaged communities within the Greater Sacramento Region. Students will earn a full elective credit for participation in the ZEV driver’s education and training classes, made available to currently enrolled students (must be 15 ½ years and old).

- Discounted Insurance Coverage for first quarter of licensure
- Earn their drivers permit and/or their driver’s license, (must be 15 ½ years and older)
- Preventing minor traffic infractions and increased public safety on local streets and roads
